3. Who Can Use WasteZeroFood
The platform is available to users who:
- Are 18 years of age or older
- Have a valid Indian mobile phone number
- Are residents, staff, or operators of a PG accommodation in India
PG owners are responsible for ensuring that all members they add or invite to their PG comply with these terms.
4. User Accounts & Login
Access to the platform varies by role:
- Tenants — join via an invite link from your PG and set a 6-digit Quick PIN. Login uses your phone number and PIN. If you forget your PIN, a reset code is sent to your registered email address.
- Owners, Caretakers & Cooks — first login uses an OTP sent to your mobile number. After that, a Quick PIN or fingerprint lets you log in instantly without OTP.
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your phone number and email address accurate and accessible
- Not sharing your PIN or login session with others
- Notifying your caretaker or owner if your phone number changes
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are found to be abusive.
5. Meal Booking Rules
- Bookings are for the following day and must be placed before the cutoff time set by your PG
- You may cancel a booking before the cutoff — cancellations after the cutoff are not possible as the cook has already been notified
- Booking a meal and not collecting it contributes to food waste. Repeated no-shows may be flagged to the PG owner or caretaker
- The platform tracks meal collection and feedback to help PGs reduce waste — this data is visible to your PG owner and caretaker
6. Subscriptions & Payments (for PG Owners)
WasteZeroFood is free for tenants and cooks. PG owners pay a monthly subscription fee:
- Basic: ₹999/month + GST (up to 50 tenants)
- Pro: ₹1,299/month + GST (up to 100 tenants)
- Elite: ₹2,449/month + GST (up to 5 PGs, unlimited tenants)
Payments are processed securely via Razorpay. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge the selected plan to your chosen payment method.
Subscriptions renew monthly. You may cancel at any time — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are generally not issued for partial months; exceptions (such as duplicate charges or a 7-day new-subscriber guarantee) are detailed in our Refund Policy.
We reserve the right to change plan pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price change takes effect.
7. Data We Collect & How We Use It
We collect the following data to operate the platform:
- Phone numbers (for OTP login and account identification)
- Names and room numbers (for PG member management)
- Meal bookings, cancellations, and feedback (for kitchen planning and waste tracking)
- Device push subscription tokens (to send meal notifications)
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Data is used solely to provide the WasteZeroFood service. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
8. Notifications
- Meal ready alerts from the cook
- Booking deadline reminders
- Menu confirmations from the caretaker
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the platform to harass or harm other users
- Attempt to access another user's account
- Use automated bots or scripts to interact with the platform
- Submit false meal bookings or feedback
- Reverse engineer or copy any part of the platform
10. Limitations of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WasteZeroFood's liability for any claim arising from use of the platform is limited to the amount paid by the PG owner in the month in which the claim arose.
